Dr. Patrick Liew is the founder and director of Success Resources, arguably Asia's largest seminar organiser and a major shareholder of a company which is listed on the Australia Stock Exchange. He has also established an e-learning company which was rated by Deloitte and Touche as the 11th fastest growing tech company. Previously, Dr. Liew was the Executive Chairman and CEO of HSR Global Ltd, a publicly-listed company on SGX-ST. He was also the regional director of the Gartner Group, providing strategic advisory and planning services to governments, banks and MNCs, as well as the regional head of sales and marketing operation for Dow Jones Telerate. Dr. Liew graduated with a BSc in Estate Management from Heriot Watt University, an MSc with emphasis in global business and marketing from The City University Of New York, and an MBA from Henley Business School / Brunel University. He has recently attained a doctorate degree in Education from the University of Southern California. Dr. Liew provides leadership and advisory services to many professional and charity organisations. He is actively involved in supporting humanitarian, philanthropic and charity causes. He has helped to organise many social missions and in the process, helped to set four records in the Singapore Books Of Records and a record in the Guinness World Record. Dr. Liew won the Entrepreneur Of the Year Award For Social Contribution, the Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Award, the Global Leader Award and five other business awards.
Julienne Loh is senior vice president and group head of Core Products in Asia Pacific, where she is responsible for the development and management of all core products, across credit, debit, prepaid and commercial payments solutions for MasterCard in Asia Pacific. Julienne was most recently Group Head, Consumer Credit, Asia Pacific, where she led the strategic development and execution of consumer credit products in Asia Pacific. Prior to that, she was General Manager for Singapore where she led all aspects of the business in Singapore including forging closer business alliances with financial institutions, merchant partners and government agencies, enhancing MasterCard brand awareness and increasing the usage and acceptance of MasterCard cards. She has made great strides in growing MasterCard revenue and furthering MasterCard business objectives, especially in areas such as growing the MasterCard affluent card portfolio, launching new value-added services such as the world's first cross-border MasterCard MoneySend remittance service, as well as accelerating the acceptance and issuance of MasterCard contactless cards in Singapore. Julienne has been with MasterCard since 2005, with over 20 years of professional experience in business, marketing and financial sectors in Singapore. She also serves as a member of the MasterCard Women’s Leadership Network and is passionate about women empowerment & financial literacy for children. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the National University of Singapore and a Master of Arts in Marketing, from the University of Westminster, London.
Mr. Tiang Chee Huat is the Treasurer of Asia Pacific for Caterpillar Inc. In this role Mr. Tiang’s team is responsible for Treasury and Finance operations in the Asia Pacific region and delivering results through execution of Treasury’s global strategy. Mr. Tiang joined Caterpillar in Singapore in 1994 as a Commercial and Logistics Analyst. He has held various positions in Treasury/Finance and Marketing over the past twenty years, including international assignments in Washington D.C. and Peoria, Illinois in the U.S. Mr. Tiang’s experience includes Orders Management, Trade Finance, Dealer Finance in Asia, U.S. Ex-Im Bank Finance Liaison in Washington D.C., and FX Risk Management and 6 Sigma Black Belt in Peoria. He also has experience with Caterpillar Financial in Asia, where he served as Funding Manager based in Singapore for about five years. In his role as Funding Manager, he was responsible for managing the company’s debt issue, foreign exchange and interest rate risks as well as cash management. Jointly with a few Caterpillar employees, Mr. Tiang was one of the pioneer committee members who started the company’s Singapore Corporate Social Responsibility committee. The committee is an affinity group which promotes sustainable progress for the people, environment and community in Singapore through employee volunteerism. Mr. Tiang served as Treasurer of the committee for three years and led the first Habitat home refurbishment project in Singapore with Caterpillar Singapore volunteers. Over the three-year period, the committee achieved significant increase in the number of volunteers and beneficiaries under the committee led events. He has also served as a volunteer for Junior Achievement. Mr. Tiang received his Bachelor Degree in Business (1994) from Nanyang Technological University and attained Caterpillar’s L.E.A.D. Paving the Road to Success conducted by Caterpillar’s senior executives and the Disney Institute (2013).
Ms. Sarah Wang is a Managing Director and Head of Credit and Macro Structuring across Asia Pacific region at Barclays Bank PLC. Based in Singapore, she manages a team providing structured solutions to meet clients’ investment and hedging needs. Prior to joining Barclays in 2004, Ms. Wang spent eight years in various credit and emerging markets structuring roles in Deutsche Bank and Lehman Brothers in New York. Ms. Wang has an MBA in Finance from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Sloan School of Management in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Ms. Wang is married with two children and speaks fluent Mandarin Chinese. She relocated to Singapore with her family in 2008.
Mr. Chandra Agnihotri is a financial services professional and recently launched Payments Consulting Network in Asia. In his last position as Executive Vice President he was head of Financial Services Division and Chief Compliance Officer of ASAP Transaction Processing. As a Payment Systems specialist in Asia for over two decades, he has extensive corporate experience in opening up new markets and helping banks and retailers in modernizing their payment systems for accepting payments via internet and mobile devices thus offering choice to consumers. Mr. Agnihotri previously held several senior/functional management positions with blue chip companies notably Visa, TCS, First Data, Discover, IBM, Exxon and Chase Mr. Agnihotri has been a member of professional associations in the field of Banking & Finance and Management. He has been industry spokesman at professional conferences and has contributed articles. He has lived in various countries including Australia, USA and India. Mr. Agnihotri serves on the advisory board of selected emerging payment services and consumer marketing relationship companies. He is also involved in local community activities including Vegetarian Society of Singapore. Mr. Agnihotri is an engineering graduate from IIT and MBA from University of Bombay, India. He is married with two children and is now Singapore citizen.
Mr. Raymond Wong is currently Asia Pacific Retail Fuels Marketing Manager, responsible for Marketing activities spanning 10 countries in AP. Before assuming this position, he was CEO and Director of ExxonMobil Lubricants India, responsible for leading a team of ~130 employees to develop and grow ExxonMobil’s lubricants business in India. Mr. Wong began his career with Mobil Oil Singapore as a Marketing Programs Executive in 1996. In 19 years that he has been with the company, Mr. Wong, a native Singaporean, has had 12 different assignments in primarily the Fuels and Lubricants department, covering various portfolios including Sales, Marketing, Financial Reporting and Strategic Planning. Before repatriating back to Singapore in Dec 2013, Mr. Wong spent 7 years overseas, 3 years in India and 4 years working in ExxonMobil’s Downstream headquarters in Fairfax, Virginia, where he was Global Planning Manager and Global Exports Manager for the Lubricants & Specialties Company, and Financial Advisor in the Downstream Treasurers’ department. Mr. Wong graduated with a degree in Finance and Management (Honors) in 1993 and obtained his MBA in 1998. He served on the board of an International Church in New Delhi for 2 years. His spouse Yin Peng has a degree in European Studies and taught English and History in high school before taking a leave of absence to accompany Raymond on his overseas assignments. Yin Peng and Raymond have 2 children, Hannah and Liesel, ages 11 and 7. His hobbies include playing golf, traveling, and watching American Football.
Khoo Seng Thiam is the Managing Director of FedEx Express Singapore. He is responsible for the overall planning and administration of the company’s operations in Singapore. Khoo began his career with FedEx in 1991 as an entry-level Ramp Agent in Singapore, working for the company in Hong Kong, Malaysia and New Zealand before rising to Managing Director in 2005 and subsequently assume the current position in 2012. Khoo’s commitments to the transport industry include membership of the Customs Advisory Council (CAC) whose mission is to advise on strategic directions to advance Singapore Customs as a world-class Customs service. He is also a member of the Logistics Skills Council (LSC) of the Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA). In 2014, Khoo was appointed as a Board Member and Treasurer for Orbis Singapore, a non-profit organization that works to prevent and treat avoidable blindness. FedEx plays a pivotal role in delivering medical supplies through the Flying Eye Hospital and the training of local doctors. Khoo also serves on the advisory councils of the Singapore Polytechnic School of Business and Republic Polytechnic School of Engineering. He holds a Masters in Management from Macquarie University, Australia.
Ms. Wendy Wong graduated from the University of Singapore with LLB (Hons) in 1978 and was admitted to the Singapore Bar in 1979 and as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales in 1995. Ms. Wong’s expertise is in Banking, Corporate Finance, Corporate and Commercial Law, Conveyancing and Trust & Estate Planning. In the last 3 decades, she has accumulated a wealth of experience acting for local and offshore banks and financial institutions in connection with various financing arrangements and instruments including loan syndications, note issuance facilities, project financing, trade financing, property financing, ship financing and chattel financing. She has also assisted banks and financial institutions in preparing their standard loan and related documentation. In February 1986, Ms. Wong started the firm of Wendy Wong, later known as Wendy Wong & Partners, a full service firm with Wendy’s brand of expertise. Here, Ms. Wong was appointed by Showa Leasing (Singapore) Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of Showa Leasing Japan on a retainer basis to act as their legal adviser. In 1987, she was also appointed by the Singapore Branch of The Fuji Bank Ltd (a Legacy Bank of Mizuho Corporate Bank) as their legal adviser on a retainer basis. Both retainers continued till late 1990 and early 2000 respectively. In real estate matters, Ms. Wong has not only assisted purchasers in the retail market but also advised developers in the purchase and development of land, including structuring the loans for land and construction costs. Ms. Wong serves on the Conveyancing Practice Committee of the Law Society of Singapore. She is an Honorary Member of the Financial Planning Association of Singapore and sits on its Ethics Committee. Ms. Wong is a qualified trust practitioner and is a member of the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners and serve on its Editorial Board. Ms. Wong is director of Gem New Start Centre Limited, a registered charity with a mission to reach out to and assist hurting young girls and women-in-need
Ms. Ng Hau Yee brought Junior Achievement into Singapore in 2007 and incorporated the organization in 2008 when she became its first Executive Director. Under her helm, JA Singapore has taught over 74,000 students with more than 5,700 volunteers since 2008 and the organization continues to grow year over year. Professionally, in 2004 after 20 years in the corporate world, Ms. Ng started her own firm, Adept Analysis & Management. Adept Analysis provides services in financial, business and data analysis, start-up support, accounting services, process improvement, and other services related to the finance function. In addition to project-based work, Adept Analysis also provides short and long-term outsource finance director/CFO type of services to small and medium size enterprises. Ms. Ng has an extensive career in the finance function with her last corporate position as the Asia Pacific Finance & Administration Director for Auspex Systems, Inc. where she was responsible for all aspects of finance, human resources, and sales administration. Upon joining Auspex, she was responsible for setting up the Asia Pacific Headquarters in Singapore to properly expand into and support the Asia Pacific market. Ms. Ng began her finance career with Digital Equipment Corporation where she held broad and successively responsible positions over a 10-year period. During her last two years at Digital, Ms. Ng relocated to Singapore from the U.S. and served as the Asia Pacific Financial Planning and Analysis Manager – leading the budgeting, planning and financial analysis activities for Digital’s sales and marketing division in Asia Pacific. Her previous positions in the U.S. included senior financial roles in Product Management and Development, Worldwide Logistics, Manufacturing Operations, and New Venture Investments. Ms. Ng graduated from the Columbia Business School with an MBA in Finance and International Business, and received her undergraduate degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering. Outside of work, Ms. Ng is extremely active in the alumni community. Since graduation, Ms. Ng has been an applicant interviewer for the MIT undergraduate program as well as for the Columbia Business School MBA program. She is currently the Secretary of the Columbia University alumni club in Singapore and was on the Executive Committee Member of the MIT Club of Singapore for many years. In addition, Ms. Ng was a founding member and currently the President of the Distinguished Universities Alumni League (DUAL), which is a local umbrella organization of 20 prominent university alumni clubs. Ms. Ng was born in Hong Kong and raised in New York. She relocated to Singapore with her husband and two children in 1996.
