AI for Good - Social Innovation Challenge

Dear JA Singapore Alums / Students,

​Junior Achievement Singapore and Accenture Singapore cordially invite you to participate in our inaugural AI for Good – Social Innovation Challenge 2025. AI is everywhere and is shaping the future. How do we embrace AI to make the world a better place?

Our aim for this challenge is to inspire and empower future generations, introducing young students to the fascinating world of AI, and providing a platform to stretch their imagination and push their boundaries to innovate, create and pitch an idea to utilize AI for Good.

The challenge will include a mandatory JA Intro to AI and a Pitch & Presentation workshop. After the workshop, student entrants (3 per team) will have 2 weeks to complete their AI for Good Plan where 12 finalist teams will be chosen to present their plans at the AI for Good – Social Innovation Challenge competition day.

Objectives:
 

This competition aims to:
  • Introduce students to the world of Artificial Intelligence.
  • Help increase students’ knowledge and understanding of the importance of AI and get them excited about AI.
  • Interest, excite and provide students a unique platform to stretch their imagination and push their boundaries to learn to think relevance, innovate, create and pitch an engaging and interactive idea to utilize AI for Good.

Students Learning Journey:
 
  • Develop innovation, creativity, design thinking, entrepreneurship, pitching and presentation skills.
  • Empower students to be problem finders and change makers.
  • Provide training from industry leaders.
  • Learn to create a prototype to demonstrate their solution to the problem.
  • Develop & improve softskills in problem solving, teamwork, communication, presentation skills, and creative thinking.

Student Participation Criteria:
Level: Sec 1 to pre-university 
No of students: 3 students per team

Students who had participated in the JA Intro to AI workshop do not need to attend the morning session of the Bootcamp on 19th July, but will need to attend the afternoon Pitch & Presentation session.

Two competition categories:
Category 1: Secondary 1 to 4
Category 2: ITE / JC / Poly / Pre-university

The Challenge:

The challenge topic for the 2 categories will be revealed at the end of the Intro to AI workshop on 19th July.

Awards:

​Every student who submits an AI for Good innovative idea will receive a Certificate of Participation.

12 Finalist Teams will receive a Certificate of Merit.

Two competition categories:

Category 1: Secondary 1 to 4
Category 2: ITE / JC / Poly / Pre-university

Per Category:
1st Place Team = trophy
2nd Place Team = trophy
3rd Place Team = trophy
Most Innovative Idea = trophy
Best Pitch / Presentation = trophy

Please register as a team via the LINK by Monday 14th July 2025. We believe that the AI for Good – Social Innovation Challenge will provide students with a unique opportunity to use their knowledge.
