JA Young Investors Challenge 2026
Dear Principals / Head of Departments / Teachers,
Junior Achievement (JA) Singapore is excited to introduce the JA Young Investors Challenge (JAYIC) 2026. JAYIC is an inaugural investment competition organized by JA Singapore, supported by HSBC Singapore, and open to Secondary 3 to Pre-University students across Singapore.
JAYIC stands out in its mission and purpose. It was founded by a student, for students. The program was initiated by Dhruv Aggarwal, a Year 5 student at NUS High School of Mathematics and Science, out of a belief that finance education for young people should go beyond stock-picking games and instead engage them as real investors managing real client needs. JA Singapore and HSBC Singapore have partnered to bring this vision to life at scale.
JAYIC will expose students to the world of financial markets and different principles of wealth, investing and client service. Over three in-person workshops, participants will learn from industry practitioners across the finance sector, covering wealth and investing fundamentals, portfolio strategy, and client pitching, while competing in a case-study challenge where they manage a simulated client's portfolio across various asset classes. Each team will be paired with a finance industry mentor throughout the competition. Participants will also receive direct career exposure through an HSBC-led panel and speed mentoring session.
