Yamato Business Proposal Competition
Yamato Transport in Japan has been sponsoring and partnering with Junior Achievement Japan for this business plan competition for the past 8 years. This competition is for 15 to 19 year old students to work in teams of 3 to 5 to develop a business plan and to present their business plan to Yamato's senior executives in Tokyo. The theme of the competition is different every year but is related to Yamato's business. Each team will be assigned Yamato employee volunteers to mentor the students.
The objective of this competition is for the students to be ready to work in a global society. It will also provide opportunities for the students to increase the following skills:
Students have the opportunity to utilize their Japanese language skills, be exposed to the working environment of a Japanese company as well as experience and be exposed to the Japanese culture when they travel to Japan for their presentation.
