​JA Career Sharing

The goals of the JA Career Sharing are:

• To provide career exposure and insight into the education requirements for jobs to 17 to 25 year old students from junior colleges, polytechnics, Institute of Technical Education (vocational schools) and university level students.
• Make a connection of what students learn in the classroom to real life and what is expected in the workplace.
•  Educate students about the work of employees.
• Learn what skills are needed for the various careers
• Learn soft skills are as important as technical skills
• Reinforce the need for students to complete their education and consider higher education or vocational training as next steps.

 
The 2 hour program will run at a company’s work place or online via Zoom.
 
Program Itinerary
The program itinerary will include:

• Welcome & introduction by senior executive (MD)
• Panel discussion & sharing with senior staffs
• Career sharing / mentoring in smaller groups (between 4 to 6 students per volunteer) and volunteer rotate to the next group
• Conclude with panel discussion & sharing with interns or recent graduate hires (optional)
