Social Innovation Relay Singapore Finals 2016
June 16, 2016
On 3 June, an inspiring Singapore Finals of the Social Innovation Relay (SIR) 2016 took place at ITE College Central. During the Finals, top 10 teams presented their social business ideas to each other and a professional jury.
There were amazing business social ideas and presentations and it certainly wasn’t easy to choose the winner.
Intellias, a team of students from River Valley High School, won the competition with a concept for a mobile application that links senior citizens to a geo-network of adults through our "one-for-one" sign-up system. The team developed their concept in response to the problems of various difficulties that elderly people face everyday (carrying bulky items, finding their ways, making use of modern technology and infrastructure, and other unexpected situations).
Team Best is Yet to Be from ACS (Independent) won the 2nd place and Team GoBAD from SJI Independent won the 3rd.
